Google has released a source code of alpha version of a new extension for Google Chrome. When released, the “End-to-end“ will allow for end-to-end encryption of e-mails leaving them readable only for the user and his/her counterpart. Even the e-mail provider will not have any chance to read the content of the e-.mail and provide it to a third party, for example law enforcement agency. The extension will use PGP and the encryption will take place in the browser that will also store the private code. That means that the encrypted e-mails will be readable only from one particular browser unless the user brings private keys with him.
