Server Malware don’t need Coffee has informed that the developers of the infamous Reveton police ransomware have joined forces with the team developing another police ransomware Nertra. That allows to target much larger audience of victims. While Reveton remains focused on Windows users, visitors with other operation systems are redirected to  another site serving Brownlock malware. The most interesting is however, that Android users are redirected to a page that pushes a malicious .apk file to their device (no user interaction needed). If installed, this mobile malware allows the user to access only the homescreen and warning demanding to pay the ransom. The “police“ warning is available for 31 countries depending on user’s location.
